BASINGSTOKE


We are seeking an experienced Production Manager who will report to the Operations Director and will be responsible for production operations at the Basingstoke factory.


You will be responsible for leading and managing seven Team Leaders, including resource planning, recruitment, staff training and development, disciplinary issues, absence/sickness procedures etc. The Production Manager will ensure orders are fulfilled on time and to the correct quality, liaising with other functions to ensure orders are processed effectively, as well as managing human and capital resources in the most efficient and effective way for the business as a whole - setting, monitoring, reviewing and reporting KPI’s within the manufacturing operation and continually developing processes and people to deliver improvements in costs, quality and delivery performance. You will also help co-ordinate the introduction of new products into production.


To succeed as Production Manager you should be a Manufacturing / Technical / Engineering Graduate (or equivalent), with experience in a management role within a manufacturing or technical environment. You must be computer literate – able to produce cost models and capacity models using excel or similar software and should hold a full Driving License.


We are seeking someone highly motivated and able to work under their own initiative or as part of a team, with excellent communication skills to liaise with Team Leaders and Senior Management. You should be a completer/finisher with a systematic and methodical approach to work, strong analytical ability and good time management - ability to prioritise work and make decisions quickly. An ability to understand technical concepts is vital, and you should ideally be someone who can think out of the box when required.
