FLEXIBLE MANUFACTURING UNIT TEAM LEADER CNC/MACHINE TOOL ENVIRONMENT BASINGSTOKE
We are seeking a Manufacturing Team Leader who will report to the Products Operation Manager and will be hands-on, managing and improving the operational effectiveness of the Flexible Manufacturing Unit.
You will be required to set and operate the CNC machines and to manage and report on performance - Quality, Delivery, Health & Safety and Productivity as well as managing staff (motivating, recruiting, creating training plans and development plans) and controlling costs by creating and managing budgets. The Production Manager will also manage day to day machine schedules and supply of materials and tooling and will help maintain plant and equipment.
To succeed as Manufacturing Team Leader, you should be a time served Engineer or equivalent, with a background in precision machining of complex parts in a modern manufacturing environment and good CNC technical skills.
You should be commitment to excellence, with the ability to lead, motivate, and develop others. The Team leader must be self motivated with the ability to set and achieve realistic goals, and someone who is flexible with positive working style, excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to prioritise and manage own workflow.
Experience managing people is very desirable and you will be expected to make a proactive contribution to the department and company as well as promoting a professional and positive image of the company. You will also undertake other relevant duties as may be reasonably required for the benefit of the company and the team effort.
