Operations Manager / Scheduler / Production Planner Redhill, Surrey Salary 35,000 - 40,000 plus 25 days holiday (in addition to statutory days) per year, company pension scheme (Standard Life Group Personal Pension Plan)
Our client is an engineering company, which manufactures, sells and services pumps and pumping systems for heating, ventilation, air conditioning and fire systems.
They are looking to expand their service division which currently has offices in Redhill and Manchester, with this in mind they are currently looking to recruit an Operations Manager to be based at the Redhill Office.
Working for the Service Division you will appoint and manage a group of approximately 12 field engineers and a planner. You will be required to provide quotes to customers and process work orders while planning and scheduling the work of the service engineers. You must also ensure that the engineers have all the equipment and information that they need to carry out work effectively.
You will be responsible for scheduling and running training programmes and also budgeting and planning, achieving the yearly department objectives as defined in the corporate annual budget.
Candidates for this role must hold a mechanical engineering qualification or demonstrable experience in the industry as the ability to learn about and understand their products is key to this role. You will need excellent customer service skills coupled with experience of planning, organising, and scheduling. Ideally our client is looking for candidates with proven management experience in running a service operation, with a good attention to detail. IT literate, you must have the ability to remain under pressure in a busy environment.
