Shift Manager (Production / Manufacturing) Featherstone, Pontefract Circa 36,000
Our client is an international Group focused on two major activities - packaging and office products.
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Shift Manager at the Featherstone plant.
The post holder will be responsible for the effective and efficient running of equipment in order to ensure that production is fit for purpose and meets with customer expectations.
In order to succeed in this role you will be required to focus on the performance management of key personnel to ensure that productivity improvement plans are met, departmental waste targets are achieved whilst maintaining housekeeping and departmental Health & Safety Performance.
The successful candidate will be an effective team player with a positive and flexible approach and the ability to use their own initiative. You must be well educated and able to demonstrate a strong track record of production supervision / management with the ability to set targets and manage performance to achieve results. Familiarity with Modern Manufacturing Techniques including Lean Manufacturing, 5S and Set Up Reduction would be a distinct advantage.
The role operates on a seven-day working pattern therefore you must be flexible with regards to working hours.
