Our client designs and manufactures a wide range of centrifugal pumps for industry, building services, petrochemical plant, and similar demanding applications, and requires an applications Engineer, based in their Bristol offices, to support the external sales team and distributors. Ideally you will have a Mechanical Engineering background and have commercial experience dealing with clients and generating successful quotations.

The position The Applications Engineer will report to the Managing Director, based at the Company's main offices in Bristol. The key responsibilities are:-
1. Evaluation of customer enquiry requirements and specifications both technical and commercial. 2. Evaluation/selection of equipment package to be offered. 3. Interpretation of customer’s requirements to internal departments and sub vendors. 4. Liaison with sales/customers as required resolving unclear requirements. 5. Preparation of price make up for review by management. 6. Evaluation of sub-contracted bids both technical and commercial forming the basis of decision process for inclusion in bid. 7. Maintenance of departmental records and files. 8. Participation in order hand over meeting with internal contracts personnel to enhance order entry and ensure continuance of clear understanding of customer’s requirements.
Remuneration Package:
The Company offers a commencing basic salary negotiable around 30,000.00 per annum together with other generous fringe benefits. The company has significant growth plans in the medium term and is able to offer excellent career prospects for the successful candidate.
